Patient Education

The majority of a Doctors time in the examination room involves talking to the patient. Most of the time the Doctor finds himself explaining the same thing over and over again but to different patients. After all how many ways can you explain arthritis? Even if you explain it well how much is actually retained. Most patients only retain 20% of what they were told in the visit. The sad part is when the patient gets home they usually tell their spouse or friend that the Doctor didn’t explain anything to them. A patient education or video explainer can help. A video explainer is a recording of the Doctor explaining every detail of a patients problem. The Doctor can provide a link to the patient after the visit is over and also during the visit . Which ever he chooses. This will allow the patient to replay any part of the explanation they may have missed.
